Kieran McKenzie is a young Jazz musician and educator currently immersed in the Jazz Studies program at the prestigious New York University, under the mentorship of renowned saxophonist Rich Perry. Alongside his musical pursuits, Kieran is also studying Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, reflecting his dual passion for music and strategic management.
Kieran's musical journey has taken him across the globe, where he has entertained audiences at prestigious venues and festivals. Notable performances include appearances at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, and the Nice Jazz Festival in France, among others. His talent has been recognized with honors and awards including the Superior Musician Award at the National Jazz Festival, the Outstanding Musician Award from the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education (NJAJE), and more.
In addition to his performance accolades, Kieran is actively involved in Donor Relationship Management and Data Management at Jazz House Kids, working closely under the guidance of the Chief Philanthropy Officer. This role allows him to blend his passion for music with practical experience in fundraising and organizational development within the arts sector. Through this hands-on involvement, Kieran is laying the groundwork to support future generations of Jazz musicians by fostering sustainable growth and community engagement.
